At the centre of our village of Sainteny is the beautiful St. Pierre church, a bar/tabac, just a short two minute stroll away, while at the top you will find the delicious boulangerie/patisserie, a charcuterie, the village shop, a Routier restaurant and bar, and a hairdresser.

Our nearest town is historic Carentan which is about 10kms from Sainteny with several supermarkets, banks, shops, cinema, swimming pool and railway station (route to Paris) and a popular market held every Monday. There are several Restaurants in the town. Carentan is called the “Capital of the Marais” because of its location at the heart of the marsh from where for centuries it has drawn its prosperity. The old town has been able to retain its rich architectural heritage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, which is not to be missed.
